March 7, 2022 – HTEC, Canada’s leading clean hydrogen production, distribution, and dispensing solutions company, today announces the acquisition of Zen Clean Energy Solutions (Zen), a specialized consulting firm primarily focused on the hydrogen and fuel cell sector. This acquisition underscores HTEC’s commitment to deliver and expand hydrogen supply solutions in support of the global clean energy transition.
Zen, with deep technical expertise and broad networks in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector, played an integral role in building out national and regional hydrogen strategies for the Canadian market. Zen also brings a strong portfolio of projects and hands-on experience in the zero-emission transportation space, with a focus on working with transit operators that are transitioning fleets from conventional ICE vehicles to battery and fuel cell electric vehicles.

Zen will continue to operate as HTEC’s wholly owned subsidiary during this transition phase. The team will be completely integrated by September 30, 2022. Jeff Grant and Sabina Russell, Principals of Zen will join HTEC’s Executive Team, expanding the company’s current portfolio.
