HTEC’s Hydrogen Delivery Fleet Earns National Recognition for Safety Excellence  

HTEC Wins 2025 PMTC & Aviva Fleet Safety Award in the Small Fleet Category.  

 

Vancouver, BC — June 20 , 2025 — HTEC is proud to announce it has been awarded the 2025 Private Motor Truck Council of Canada (PMTC) & Aviva Fleet Safety Award in the Small Fleet Safety category. This national recognition reflects HTEC’s commitment to road safety, operational excellence, and a strong culture of accountability. 

Presented annually by the PMTC in partnership with Aviva Canada, the Fleet Safety Awards honour private fleets across the country that go beyond National Safety Code requirements to demonstrate outstanding dedication to safe transportation practices.  

To date, HTEC’s fleet has safely delivered more than 130,000 kilograms of hydrogen to its expanding network of stations across British Columbia, including one in both Kelowna and Victoria, and five (including UBC’s station) in the Lower Mainland With four professional drivers, supported by a fleet supervisor and a dedicated safety team, HTEC ensures compliance with all safety regulations while fostering an environment of continuous learning and accountability.

HTEC was recognized for its proactive and comprehensive approach to fleet safety. Its structured safety leadership framework includes mandatory onboarding and refresher training aligned with Transport Canada, CVSE, TDG, and WHMIS standards. Regular field audits, policy reviews, and collaboration with health and safety teams help ensure continuous improvement.
