HTEC Québec will deliver hydrogen production, distribution, and dispensing solutions to partners and customers in Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and Nunavut
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, June 22, 2021 – HTEC Hydrogen Technology & Energy Corporation (HTEC) is excited to announce it will open a new division, HTEC Québec, in Montreal on July 1, 2021.
The company has an established presence in Quebec hydrogen infrastructure already, having provided a station in the province in 2019. Today, HTEC supports Toyota and Harnois in the operations of the retail hydrogen station in Quebec City, and work is well underway to expand HTEC’s Quebec Fueling Network. HTEC has two retail hydrogen stations in design and construction, two in late-stage development, and four in early-stage development.
“Across Eastern Canada, we’re seeing growing market interest in decarbonization solutions involving hydrogen,” says Colin Armstrong, HTEC’s President and CEO. “The Province of Quebec has set clear government targets and policies supporting carbon-emission reductions, and there’s strong, proactive industry commitment to deliver low-carbon transportation solutions to customers and consumers. These are just two important reasons why HTEC Québec is an exciting next step in the evolution of our business.”
HTEC provides the glue of the clean hydrogen value chain, integrating technologies, systems, people, and partnerships for hydrogen’s role in the global zero-emission future. As a market leader in North American clean hydrogen infrastructure solutions, HTEC has 17 hydrogen fueling stations operating or in development in Canada and the United States today. The company also delivers engineering and design services and specialty products and solutions to customers around the world.
Hydrogen industry veteran, Pierre Gauthier, will lead the new HTEC Québec.
At HTEC, we are focused on making zero-emission travel and transport possible, building the low-carbon future we want to live in and leave behind for future generations. We are unlocking hydrogen’s potential to reduce pollution and climate change by building hydrogen supply solutions and station networks to support the rollout of fuel cell electric vehicles. Every day, HTEC is delivering safe, reliable, convenient, sustainable, and low-cost hydrogen to customers and consumers, how, when, and where they need it.
